10-20-30 Minutes to Learn to Knit book review

As you may or may not know
I have tried to learn to knit a number
of times & given up.

Leisure Arts
have been kind enough to send me
a copy of the book
to review
and see if it will help me to learn to knit.

It can be bought in
Book format or eBook

The book is an introductory & teaches you to knit in small segments of time.
This beginner's guide takes the knitter from learning
to put stitches onto the needle to actually making 20 projects at progressive skill levels.

As you make your way through the book you learn
different techniques and stitches.
Each part is clearly marked to let you know how long it is going to take.
It takes you step to step through the stitches you will need to know
and additional techniques.
It even includes a section to teach you how to read patterns.
Each step has clear pictures to show what you should be seeing.
It teaches everything from start to finish (binding off)
to how to make pom poms.
Once you have worked your way through the book
you are then given a number of patterns to use everything you've learnt.
  • Blue Dishcloth
  • Variegated Dishcloth
  • Matching Hat & Scarf
  • Ruffle Top Slippers
  • After Ski Boots
  • Baby Gift Set - Booties, Doll & Ball
  • Mittens
  • Bunny Mittens
  • Pillow
  • Baby Blanket
  • Dog Coat
  • Lattice Afghan
  • Striped Vest
  • Cable Pullover
As you can see you get a good mix of patterns
so not only is the book a good value to help you to learn to knit.
You also get lots of patterns to show off your new skills.

I'm really looking forward to making my way through the
book and hopefully being able
to knit by the end of it.
