Publication Date: 1st March 2013
RRP: $18.95

Available Direct from Workman Publishing

This book is packed full of 101 projects!
I was a little dubious of this book as most
books with this quantity of patterns are filled with
projects you wouldn't want to make.
This is not the case with this book!

This book is PACKED full of FANTASTIC patterns!!!

The book is split into sections.
Each section is a different weight of yarn

  • Thread
  • Lace Weight
  • Super-Fine Weight
  • Fine Weight
  • Light Weight
  • Medium Weight
  • Bulky Weight

The book covers all types of projects that you might want to make.
Everything for different ages and sexes to items for the home
or shopping.
Nothing is missed and I haven't found a project I don't like.

I decided I like this Riding the Waves Neck Warmer
that I would make one for myself.
I choose a dk weight acrylic yarn.

I love the way it turned out.
The pattern was easy to follow and gave a fantastic look.
The pattern is in both written and chart format
so however you like to read patterns you are covered.

It was a fantastic quick and effective pattern.
It would make a brilliant pattern to use for gifts.

The vast array of patterns are all explained in an easy to ready format.
With being in written and chart format everyone is covered.

There are patterns for all ages and all styles of houses.
You can find patterns for everything from jewellery, bags, shawls & hats.
There are patterns for pillows, blankets and even kindle covers.

Quite a lot of the patterns are quick to make projects.
They would make brilliant gifts.
The book is a fantastic investment and at such
a brilliant price for 101 projects you are getting value for money.

There are patterns for all seasons.

Some would make brilliant baby shower gifts!

This is one of those books that you can use the projects
time and again.
It's the sort of book that is full of inspiration
and projects you'll be proud to give as gifts.

I haven't even shown you a percentage of the patterns
that are in this book.
And as you can see the diversity of the patterns is amazing.

This book is for all levels of crocheters.
You need to know the basics but I'm sure you'll find
more than one pattern that you would be able to complete.

Judith & Edie have brought together an amazing array of designers.
They have collated an amazing amount of projects.
I would give this book 5 out of 5!

Blaze On ~ Fairy Lights ~ Product Review

Wicker Star - LED 20
Blaze On

I love fairy lights and I think they are fantastic for any décor
and any time of the year.

Blaze On is a small company that has over 400 unique designs
and works with over 20 family businesses in Thailand
and is based on fair trade to all, including you!

The lights come in beautiful packaging.
The box is made out of recycled materials.
Everything about the product has been thought about.
You feel like you are buying a quality product with the individual touch.

They have an amazing array of designs.
I decided to choose the wicker stars as I thought
it was something we could use all year
and with them being a plain colour they would go with any décor.

The service is fantastic, they came so quickly.
They are of a fantastic quality and you just know that they are
going to last.

The lights are ethically crafted decoration on clear 20 LED light string with UK plug.
High energy efficiency with up to 10 years life (bulbs never needed).
5 metre overall length (3m decorated, 2m between plug and first lamp).
CE approved and meets the European Safety Standards EN60598-2-20

The lights are for indoor use and are safe to a very high standard.
I am not concerned about anything with this product.
The only problem we are going to have is where they are going to be put.
Little Red has already asked if he can have them in his room.

I think they are going to look brilliant with our Halloween themed room.
I also think they will be a brilliant addition to our Christmas Decorations.

Although I chose a wicker plain colour it doesn't mean you have to.
They have an amazing array of different designs and colours.
You are sure to find something that matches your décor or theme.

Not only do they look beautiful when they are switched on they are
also as beautiful off.

Check out some of their amazing designs:
Wicker Star - LED 20 Ambient Balls - LED 20
Cabbage Rose - LED 20 Natural Leaf - LED 20
Daisy - LED 20 Enchanted Garden - LED 20
Large Lantern - LED 20 Orchid - LED 20

Or if you don't want fairy lights how about some beautiful Tea Lights
