Halloween Traditions

As Halloween is drawing near
I thought I would discuss
Halloween traditions.

In England we don't really have many.
We decorate our house but quite a lot of people don't.
We all get dressed up & then hubby
takes Little Red out Trick or Treating.

some family members sometimes have a party
but that is something that has only recently started.

I am going to try and join in this charity event.
To enter the event you need to:
design and knit or crochet a little halloween creature, object or monster and support Headsmart
The Prize is:
+ The best and most innovative toys will be given yarn prizes donated by Artesano -  10 x 100g of their new British Wool plus a pattern book and The London Wool Company - special yarn from independent companies and dyers.
It's a fantastic event and I've only got a short time
to make something so I better get my thinking cap on :-)

Now I want to know your Halloween traditions
If you've got a post about it
feel free to link
or if you have a halloween pattern you
want to share:

  1. I don't have any Halloween traditions, but that is only because it is my youngest's birthday! So on halloween we celebrate by handing out sweets from our front verandah and eating birthday cake with our boy. I've never crocheted anything for Halloween before, but I think I might try my hand at some pumpkins.

    1. That's fantastic! It sounds like a good fun birthday! I must admit I haven't crocheted any decorations yet, maybe that needs to be on my to do list as well :-)
