I've Made Friday Week 6

Good Morning All
Another Friday already
Week 6 already!
April has flashed by too fast!

I'm afraid I've only got one finished item to show you today.
I have made some more things this week
but they are presents so you'll
have to wait for the pictures.
I've really enjoyed making them and I can't wait to see what you think of them.

Little Red decided he wanted a Rose.
I don't know why but he said it had to be red.
I started using the pattern in Mollie Makes
but altered it slightly as I made the rose.

The living room is going well.
Tuesday Hubby cemented the bricks
ready for the tiles.
Due to the damp weather it hadn't dried out enough yesterday.
Hubby built the fire surround (pictures to follow on another day).
Today he fitted the first set of tiles.
The inside of the fireplace is all tiled and everything is set-up
to tile on the outside tomorrow.

I read:

This is Our Story by Wendi Adelson

this week.

This is a fantastic book.
You get to see the perspective of each of the people in the book.
An immigration lawyer (Lily)and a number of her clients.
The book is mainly based round Lily & two of her clients Rosa & Mila.
It is well written and there are lighter moments as well
as the hard reality.
The book is based on real stories and gives you a real perspective
of people trafficking.
It's hard hitting, compelling & vivid.
I would highly recommend this book.

I have found 2 fantastic giveaways.
I know I only normally post
giveaways on Sunday
but as I couldn't show you my other projects I'd show you these instead:

Well worth joining in and both are international.

Now it's time to go and see what other people have been making &
link and show us what you've been making.

  1. Your rose looks great.
Knitting flowers seems to be hard compared to crocheting them.
I've never tried them but just listening to people who have...

    1. They are great fun and look so beautiful. They are better in our house than real ones as hubby has really bad hay-fever. I'm really excited as to how the living room is going :-)
