I haven't completed many sewing projects before so I
have found this book a wealth of information.
This book goes through many of the basics
that other books seem to forget.

It takes you through everything from how the pattern
appears on a piece of fabric to the selvage and
how to find the repeat on a pattern.

You will learn about everything from choosing the correct
fabric, thread and sewing needle.
It even takes you through how to find which it the right
and wrong side of the fabric.
All of the information is clearly written and there is
either a photo or a diagram to make it easier.

I love the explanations for sewing in zips.
This is a part of the sewing process I have avoided as it
scares me so much.
The clear pictures and instructions make it seem so much easier.

This book is written so that you can design
your own items for your own home.
It gives you all the basic knowledge of design
as well as all the information you need.

You are then taking through step-by-step
different projects that you can make for your home.
There is a fantastic mix of projects.
Which are split into sections:

the only thing you'll struggle with is
which project to start making.

The projects are varied and are designed
for different levels of sewer.
You can use this book to expand your skills
and make beautiful items for your home.

I love Erin's style of writing,
it makes it so easy to follow.
I also love the fact that there are clear
pictures and diagrams throughout
so that it makes it so much easier
to complete your project.

This book has so much packed into it.
What ever level of sewer you are you'll
be inspired and making some amazing
projects for your home.
This is the type of book you'll pick up and
use time and again.
