Good Morning Everyone!
I hope your week is going well!
Red Monster is still off school.
His school has chosen to have 2 weeks
this holiday and finish for the summer
Hubby took Monday and Tuesday off work
but it didn't go as planned.
He ended up having to work Monday morning
and then his knee started playing up
so he couldn't walk far.
We still had fun.
He spent quite a bit of time playing games
with Red Monster.
It's given me time to catch up on a few projects.
I've finished my monster foot
and the headband I was making
with the Craftsy course
learning to knit in the round.
My bag is coming along nicely
It's getting longer and longer :-)
I am also designing an owl.
I'm making it with this beautiful
I can't wait to see how he turns out
By Manos Del Uruguay
from Xena Knits
Now don't laugh but I am reading
Needled to Death
(A knitting mystery book 2)
by Maggie Sefton
It's actually quite good.
I've already read the first in the series and really enjoyed it.
I love the fact that it brings yarn, spinning, weaving & knitting into the story.
I love the descriptions of the yarn.
Not only do you get a good murder mystery to follow
you also get recipes and a pattern as well.
The stories are based around Kelly
who moved to the area after her Aunt was murdered.
The first book is centered around her Aunt's death
and this story is based around the death of an
acquaintance she had recently met.
One of the main places the stories are based
around is the yarn shop House of Lambspun.
In this place she makes her new friends
and learns to knit.
Each of the characters is fun & you will laugh
at different parts.
It isn't the best story I've ever read but I couldn't
wait to read this book, the 2nd book in the series.
Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
Please add the pin to your post & check out a couple
