I've Made Friday Week 154

Good Morning everyone!
I hope your week is going well.
I hope you are looking forward to the weekend.

I have had a wonderful week.
Nothing very exciting but I've loved having
hubby and Red Monster home.

Hubby has gone back to work now,
so the sun has started to shine!

My mum and dad took me & Red Monster
to our favorite haunt;
Martin Mere.

We love going there.
It's nice and flat for me and there are benches everywhere.
People buy them in memory of people.
Each bench is dedicated to someone.

As the weather got warmer I got sick of my hair.
So I cut it off.

Sorry about the selfie.
I need to dye it next so hubby is going to do it
for me this weekend.

Considering I can't cut I don't think
I did too bad.

Now onto my makes;

I made this headband from the Craftsy course
Knit Lab in the Round.
I am really enjoying this class!

I designed a new flower.
I wanted to make a larger flower than normal.
It's for the Yarn Bombing event.

I made another monster foot
for the yarn bombing event.

I also made a big bumble bee
from the free pattern by Hayley Wright
This is also for the Westhoughton Yarn Bombing event.

I have read two books this week;

Double Knit Murders (Knitting Mysteries, Nos. 1 and 2)
by Maggie Sefton
The whole point of these knitting mysteries.
is the murder mysteries have yarn, knitting etc.
in the story line as well.
The story is based around a woman called Kelly.
Her aunt has been murdered and she has
inherited everything.
She doesn't feel right about what the police
have told her about her aunt's murderer.
Kelly meets some knitters in the yarn shop
across from her aunt's house.
They were friends of her aunt and they end
up helping her solve the murder.
During this time she learns to knit and finds the
joy of yarn.
The descriptions of her touching the different
types of yarn are fantastic.
The rest of the series of books carry on with
the same theme and characters.
Different people come into the stories
(some getting killed off).
The stories won't win any awards but
I really enjoyed them!
I love the descriptions when talking about yarn etc.
I also love the fact you have an interesting
murder mystery to follow as well.
I enjoyed them so much I've bought more
in the series and have also purchased
the crochet mysteries.

Now it's time for linky love.
