The best way to describe this book
is invaluable!

There is so much left I have to learn
about crochet and this book is helping
me on my way.

This book is designed to take you step-by-step
in different techniques and stitches
so that you can learn them.

The pictures are amazingly clear
and really do take you through step-by-step.
Everyone from a beginner upwards
has something that they can learn from this book.

If you are a beginner then this book really
is invaluable.
It takes you through the different ways you can
hold your hook to how to get started.
It takes you through each of the basic stitches
you will need and then takes you through
everything from increasing to decreasing.

This is a project book this book is purely
to learn to crochet, learn different stitches
and techniques to help support
you on your crochet journey.

An amazing array of stitches are covered.
Everything from a single crochet to a puff stitch.
Or why not try a raised treble rib.

Once you have learnt numerous stitches
you can then learn how to crochet
with beads and sequins.
How about learning broomstick crochet
or entrelac crochet.
Entrelac crochet excites me the most
as it's something I have never really tried.

Then we move onto filet crochet and
hairpin lace.
I love the section of Irish crochet.
It makes it so easy to follow
and a scary technique look so easy.
The book even takes you through
learning tunisian crochet.

The other amazing thing in the book
is using crochet to create
buttons, buttons holes and button loops.

I haven't covered everything in the book
as there is just so much packed in!

I think this really is an invaluable book
for any crocheter!

Fantastic value for money.

Scoodies are becoming more popular
as they are so versatile and are a
fantastic to keep you warm in winter.

This book brings you 20 hooded scarves
and cowls for you to crochet.
You really can't complain about the value
for money!

The thing I like the most about this book
is that each of the designs are different
from the last.
Using different yarns, stitches and colours
they are all different.

Each of the designs has a level of difficulty
so there is something for every level of crocheter.
At the back of the book is a how it's done

Simply Stitched ~ Zakka Workshop ~ Book Review

Beautiful, amazing, gorgeous!
There are so many words that I could use to describe this book.
I love the fact that it has gone back to designs from
the past and brought them back in a way that makes
it up to date.

The book starts with the most amazing pictures
of each of the motifs and how they can be used.

Once you have ooed and awed at the pictures
you are taking through the steps of making the beautiful items.
First it talks you through materials and tools,
then moving onto techniques & how to start & finish stitches.

Then you move onto the instructions.
The instructions take you through everything you
will need to know to make each of the projects.
These include diagrams and pictures.
The also include the motifs and what stitches you will
need to use.
At the back you also have an overview on how to embroider
the stitches.

You aren't provided with separate templates
for each of the projects.
However you either have a template to copy
or the basic sizes are shown.

I don't feel this book is a beginners book
but for someone who already loves to embroider.
I think the pictures and designs speak for themselves.
They are exquisite!!!

This book would be amazing as a present
but each of the projects would
make something special for someone.
