Press Release ~ Craft Books from Little Button Diaries

PRESS RELEASE

Craft books from award-winning bloggers Little Button Diaries
Brighton-based bloggers Laura Minter and Tia Williams started the award-winning Little Button Diaries in 2013 as a way to document their makes, bakes and creations after becoming mothers. They wanted to show that having a baby doesn’t mean you have to stop doing the things you love (even if you only have a spare 30 minutes during nap time!) and their blog is a colourful, inventive collection of sewing, printing, papercraft, baked treats, salt dough, papier mache and angel wings – and much more besides.
Since launching the blog, Laura and Tia’s crafting skills have seen them contribute to newspapers and magazines and blog for companies such as Paperchase, Laura Ashley and Hobbycraft. This spring, they launch their very first books, combining their two great loves – crafting and their children! Emulating the clean, bright aesthetic of the blog, The Princess Craft Book, The Knight Craft Book and Mini Makers are jam packed with fun, creative and engaging projects for parents to make and children to embellish and personalise.
Including princess parties and medieval banquets; foldaway cardboard forts and pirate ships; teddy bears’ picnics and instruments for an under-fives rock ‘n’ roll band, the books are packed with projects, activities and recipes to keep little buttons entertained. Even better, most of the projects can be made using household items, or easy-to-find products at the craft shop.
The books all feature stunning, stylised photography and simple, clear step-by-step instructions. For a crafter or parent (or both!) looking for rainy day activities for little ones, they’re a treasure trove of ideas and inspiration.

About the authors
Laura Minter and Tia Williams are two creative mums based in Brighton. They started Little Button Diaries, their crafting and baking blog, in 2013 and its popularity has seen them contribute to The Sun and magazines including Creativity, Essentials and Mollie Makes. They won Best Craft Blog at the 2014 Mum and Dad (MAD) Blog Awards and a 2015 Brilliance in Blogging award in the crafts section. Tia has a background in childhood language acquisition and Laura in teaching, which has informed the development of these books.
