What You Doing Wednesday Week 135

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope your week is going well!

It's cold in the UK.
We haven't had much snow yet but it's due today.

The ground has been frozen for over a week now.
It's nice when it's a cold crisp morning
and the sun is shinning.
I prefer a crisp morning to wet rain.
Little Red is excited at the thought
that there might be snow.

I have a sad story to tell about my cowl.
I was nearly finished and I noticed I had dropped
a stitch.
No problem I know how to fix it.
Yes there is a problem -
that day I was very stressed and tired.
When you are stressed and tired
it's not a good idea to try and fix something.
As you may of guessed it went horribly wrong.
I ended up pulling it and starting again.

Still stressed and tired it took 3 attempts
of starting the cowl and going wrong.
Finally I gave and tried another day.
It's going well again but it means
I haven't got very far.
Oh well lesson learnt.

I was subscribed to the Knitting & Crochet magazine.
I love this magazine but I just can't afford
it at the moment.
This months magazine was my last
and I was super impressed with it.

With the magazine you receive
the knitting needles, crochet hook and stitch markers
you'll need for the projects.
On seeing these beautiful flower coasters
I just couldn't resist making some.
But you'll have to wait till Friday to see them.
They were super quick and easy to make.

It also inspired me to make a jar cosy.
I've never made one before but I'm really
pleased with how it's turning out.

As you can see I am nearly finished.
I love the colours.
I wanted it to brighten up the place.
I love the granny style effect on the main jar
and I wanted to contrast it with a flower on the lid.

I haven't made any progress on my oceans shawl
or my headband from my other Craftsy course.

At the moment I am listening to
A Darker Domain
by Val McDermid

I haven't listened to much yet.
The story is about a woman searching for her missing father.
Her son is sick and needs a matching family member
to help with his recovery or he could die.
Her father went missing during the coal mine strikes.
Everyone from the village thought he had
escaped with the apposing side.
The question is did he and where is he?

I am also reading
She Speak to Angels
by Ami Blackwelder

This is the first installment in the
AngelFire Chronicles
The story starts following a normal girl
going to school.
The difference is at this school a number
of children have committed suicide.
With her friends Ali decides to investigate
why the latest victim committed suicide.
He was an ace football player with no reason
to end his life.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
Please add the pin to your post & check out a couple
of other people that are sharing their work
