I want to crochet for my girl 3-6 months, which hook size should I use?Vibhahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11492307311758881396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813890428772283436.post-82408115132561933582012-02-22T20:55:47.039+00:002012-02-22T20:55:47.039+00:00What you need to do on each row is increase by 8 s...What you need to do on each row is increase by 8 stitches. I find it easier if I make the stitch which you need to join to which is the ch2

You start with 8 stitiches in round 1
The you put 2 stitchs in each stitch which then makes 16
The next round you do 1 stitch and then the next has 2 stitches in this stitch to create the increase. You keep doing that around. So it’s 1 sc, 1 sc increase x 8
You then go up 1 stitch that you only do one stitch in. so the next round you need to do 2 sc, 1 sc increase.
By round 5 you should have 3sc, 1 sc increase. As long as you keep your tention even and the numbers even all the way round it should be ok. If you are still having problems try doing it with a hdc.

For a hdc only do 6 hdc’s in the 2nd ch from the hook. You then increase by 6 each time. If you do it this way only increase to the round where you have 9hdc, 1 hdc increase. Then you do hdc around till round 25 and this should fit.

Any problems let me know.Crochet Addict UKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08916712346884443545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813890428772283436.post-81945986576897011122012-02-21T21:06:40.351+00:002012-02-21T21:06:40.351+00:00I'm trying out your pattern and getting a litt...I'm trying out your pattern and getting a little confused. (know that I'm new to crochet)

Once I get to about row 5 it started getting bunchy. So I started again to be sure that I was truly counting each stitch properly. I understand that once you finish each stitch in the row there are 40 stitches you have completed. My confusion comes in that if doesn't match up. If each part I repeat only uses 2 previous stitches, it's a total of 14 (2x7). When you add the 4 previous stitches, you have a total of 18. That doesn't add up to the 32 stitches in the previous row. What am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to skip a stitch??

Thank you for your help.WishUponAStarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13995699273620672496noreply@blogger.com
